Holy Church of the Absurd Scientific Tao

The Holy Church of the Absurd Scientific Tao TM

Because of the way we are  genetically created, we seek faith to provide emotional  fulfillment.   Any scientific inquiry of depth ends at an incomprehensible absurd reality of the kind described by quantum mechanics1.   While Holy Church of the Absurd Scientific Tao members may accept the unknowable nature of reality this does not provide much positive emotional content, other then, of course, the humorous nature of absurdity.  Some negative responses could be "what the hell am I doing here".   Or as Camus said "From the moment absurdity is recognized, it becomes a passion, the most harrowing of all".   After all the reward for a meaningless life is a more meaningless death.  Why not just cycle down to psychological clinical depression then suicide.   It is often assumed that if life has no meaning, then it is not worth living.
The early thinkers and theologians of the Church did not look at life in this manner.   To them the meaning of life is found in ones own life.  "I think therefore I have meaning", so who gives a f*** about a  "true" meaning that one will never be able to find in the rest of the universe.
With this in mind we developed a programs for the Absurdist Taoist mindset.  All religions use certain methods that try to dispel distressing negative sensation induced by ill perceived threats and to fight the fear of death and the unknown.  We have tried to distill some of these practices to a non dogmatic discipline based more on logic and science then religious enlightenment.
